Flood insurance

Here's an interesting article about flood insurance, forwarded to me by Mike Tracy at Rudolph Friedmann. The main point is that most homeowner's policies don't cover floods, but that it is fairly easy to purchase flood insurance.

Morgan rides a bike

Morgan learned to ride a bike without training wheels yesterday. Woohoo! One of the drawbacks of my schedule--close to 100 percent of my time I am either working or with both kids, is that it is very difficult to do things like teach Morgan to ride a bike. Yesterday morning Maia was not cooperating about taking some medicine at breakfast. I saw that Adam was writing a letter to his mother and did not seem as though he would be doing any actual work any time soon, so I asked him to take over Maia while I went to the cul de sac across from our house with Morgan.

Within a few minutes she was crying, "I can't do it! I can't do it!" as she was getting better and better at riding her bike. After about half an hour, still crying "I can't do it!" she was riding. Yay.

Too old to blog?

I am a truly private person. So what would I blog about? I could create a blog to attract business to my law practice, but, let's face it, my practice is usually too busy for me to frequently draft articles that would be on any interest to anyone; and if they are interesting I would just add them to the articles section of my website. http://www.kallenlawyer.com.

I have sometimes thought that I would enjoy writing a personal blog about my family life. But then who would I ask to read it? My kids would kill me. It would be embarressing to my husband.

I certainly have no desire to share my innermost thoughts with the world in anything but the most anonymous way. But if it's anonymous how could I ever get anyone to read it? And if no on is reading it, then why not just start writing in a journal as I did when I was young?

So, is there any room in the blogging world for me?

A New Frontier

Nothing profound to say here. It's my first blog and my first blog entry. I'm not sure what, if anything, this blog will be. Some law, some kids, some complaining about my husband.
